Collective North exists to create opportunities and provide support for emerging and established designers in the North. Through collaborations, events, and exhibitions, we aim to create and foster a thriving and interconnected Northern design scene, paving the way for a future where designers can proudly call the North their home.

We are a collective of designers, makers, optimists, and believers in the future of design in the North. We are not a gallery. We are not an educational organisation. We are not a design studio. We are whatever is needed to create opportunities for designers in the North. Sometimes we’re curators; sometimes we’re educators; and sometimes even baristas. We listen to designers and respond with what they need. We don’t have a fixed format: we have a purpose.

We are a not-for-profit organisation putting Northern designers first, building partnerships with public and private bodies, with industry, and most importantly, listening to the designers we exist to support.

If you are an emerging or established designer, an organisation or business, or you simply believe in the future of design in the North, we’d love you to be part of the journey.
